Official ad libraries: how to see any advertiser’s ads for free

An ad library is a platform’s own public archive of the ads running on it. Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, Microsoft, Pinterest, X and Snapchat each run one, all free to search; reach, targeting and spend appear only for some ads, mostly political ones or ads shown in the EU.

Data on 8 October 2026, from each platform’s own documentation.

To see competitors’ ads for free, search for the competitor in the official library of each platform it advertises on, and set the country before you read any numbers. The same Nike Page showed about 35 active ads in the Meta Ad Library from the United States and about 82 from France on the same day, 8 October 2026. For Meta’s and Google’s libraries side by side, see Meta Ad Library vs Google Ads Transparency Center.

Most of what these libraries show beyond the ad itself exists because of the EU Digital Services Act. For ads shown in the EU, Meta adds reach and targeting, Google adds impressions and targeting categories, and LinkedIn adds impressions and targeting parameters. For the same advertiser’s ads shown only in the United States, the libraries show the creative, the advertiser and a date, and little else.

No official ad library publishes spend for ordinary commercial ads. Google’s ads are static screenshots with no click-through to the landing page. Ordinary Meta ads shown outside the EU and UK are not archived at all once they stop. These gaps are why paid ad-intelligence tools exist; each guide on this site ends with a section on where its library stops and what, if anything, closes that gap.

AdLibraryGuide is a reference guide to the official ad libraries of Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok and other platforms: how to search them, what they show and what they never show. It is published by the team behind Spytrend, an ad-intelligence tool, and earns nothing from the libraries it describes. How we check every fact is on the methodology page, and how the site is funded is on How AdLibraryGuide makes money.

An ad library is a public, searchable archive of ads that a platform publishes itself. Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, Microsoft, Pinterest, X and Snapchat all run one. Each shows the ad and who placed it; reach, targeting and spend appear only for certain ads, mostly political ones or ads shown in the EU.

How can I see my competitors’ ads for free?

Section titled “How can I see my competitors’ ads for free?”

Search your competitor in the official ad library of each platform: the Meta Ad Library for Facebook and Instagram, Google Ads Transparency Center for Search and YouTube, and the LinkedIn Ad Library for LinkedIn. All three are free and need no account; set the country first, because results differ by country.

Can I see how much a competitor spends on ads?

Section titled “Can I see how much a competitor spends on ads?”

Mostly no. No official ad library publishes spend for ordinary commercial ads. Meta and Google show spend, as ranges, only for political and election ads, and Snapchat shows spend for political and advocacy ads. For commercial ads shown in the EU, the libraries add reach or impressions instead of money.

Not for commercial ads. We found no public Reddit ad library for ordinary ads on 8 October 2026. Reddit discloses only political ads, which are allowed only in the US at the federal level, by publishing buyer information in its r/RedditPoliticalAds subreddit.

Which ad libraries can be searched by keyword?

Section titled “Which ad libraries can be searched by keyword?”

The Meta Ad Library, the LinkedIn Ad Library, TikTok’s Commercial Content Library and the Microsoft Ad Library accept a keyword or ad-content search. Google Ads Transparency Center does not: it searches only by advertiser name or website, so you need to know who you are looking for.
